Hello, I am a proffesional panel beater and painter in Dolores and can respray your cars. Red paint fades quickest due to it absorbing the higher energy wavelenths of UV light and breaking down the molecular structure of the paint or lacquer. The basecoat is pourus and absorbs humidity which will lead to rust if not recoated. The damage is ireversable so prvention is the best approch with a good coat of wax and parking in the shade or under a canopy or cover if possible.

Unfortunately I can't afford a new one and I love my little car so I will have it sprayed and cover with a proper cover , I have had a few replies from my queery and will be seeking address of potential repairers.

DaveP wrote:Buy a cover from the Chinese. A large one for my Mondeo cost just under 15 euros and it not only protects from the sun but keeps birds off your car! I had a dent in the wing of a Mercedes. I got it repaired with a Morrocan (?) guy who did an absolutely brilliant job repairing the dent and respraying the wing for just 80 euros! Worth getting a quote from him. Drive past Zocco market to the bend and turn right .. there is a concrete pillar at the junction with some green paint on it. Up the road through the gates and go straight on (don't turn right past the storage containers) up to the end. The painter chap was right up the end of this road on the right.
Worth getting it looking nice then put on a cover. I use bungie cords front and back and clipped on the wheel to keep the cover in place, otherwise in a strong wind it will take off and disappear up the road!
Regards, Dave.
I have looked into a couple of Chinese markets but did not find any covers , which market did you purchase your cove from , I live in Callosa de segura , not far from Quesada.
