Half price coach trip to Alcala del Jugur 9th-11th October

My wife & I have this coach trip booked with David’s Coaches on 9th-11th October but we are in the U.K. looking after a sick family member and cannot get back to Spain. It is too late to cancel the booking so I am offering it at half price, €250, first come first served.
The trip can be viewed on coachtripsonline.com.
This is a genuine offer. I would rather loose €250 than €500 and the booking not used.
I will even take payment after the trip to show it is not a scam.
I will need your names, preferred pick-up point, contact email address & mobile number to give to David’s Coaches

Can you claim on any insurance? Will the company not offer any deal, change date or venue? What a shame

Ask if they will give you a credit you may lose a little but better than the lot

They say the hotel has already been paid for, so they cannot refund or credit

I dont think that is true P, they dont pay the hotel until after
They should at least have given you back half the cost or a full credit , it is not good customer relations to do this
Other travel companies will refund you if you have evidence of a personal or family illness , maybe you could do this ?
I would call them again and persist
The worst thing for them would be bad publicity
They have to remember, there are other companies out there, like rosa tours, and this type of thing could sway people to book with them in the future
