Maximum 3 items per day and no bumping

Due to a few posters using the buy and sell forum as a business, we are introducing a strict 3 maximum items per day rule. Please only list 3 items for sale maximum per day.

If you are running a business selling items then please enquire about advertising, and do not use the buy and sell forum.

Also "bumping" a post is no longer allow due to several members spamming the forum with hundreds of unnecessary bumps.

Please can members press the Report button on and posts breaking these rules, and the offenders will be warned and may even be banned if they ignore the warnings.

Thank you.

Surely you can bump something you advertised yesterday? Is that not allowed?

No Chris, it’s not.

I guess the only suggestion for them is to re-list it. It’s far too easy to just ‘BUMP’ stuff and, the effort in re-listing, might dissuade the lazy from cluttering up the forum with their shopfronts.

Some of those, supposedly ‘clearing out’, would do so quicker by sending it all to to Lumsdens!

So with new items being added daily, and the older un-sold items gradually disappearing from view (lets face it, how many people look at stuff after page 2?), how is one expected to sell their goods when no one sees it?

Surely a compromise would be to allow one bump per week or something?
