Does amyone know the date the Suma for property comes out? We have a holiday home so not here all the time and don't want to miss the date. Added to which the post office will only hold for a few days then return to the office in Almoradi.

Hi
It depends on your area but here's some details:

From: http://www.abacoadvisers.com/

We have ours paid from our bank account by D/D through our tax advisers but you can set up a direct debit for the council tax/Suma at your bank yourself if you go in and ask. They will tell you what you need to bring in to set it up..saves the worry of when it's due.

We have 2 problems having a holiday home. Firstly checking at the Correos in Quesada for post. It is hit and miss as to whether the post is looked through properly. The last time we came in August there were loads of Suma bills for Lo Crispin but apparently not ours! I have checked twice this month and no Suma. I have a feeling it has been sent back to Almoradi Suma office which is so hard to find. Secondly although it comes out of the bank account we still need the breakdown in order to pay wealth tax at the end of the year which is only detailed on the actual Suma. I have tried online but only get the amount due not the breakdown needed. Does anyone know of a way to access a detailed Suma online or will it be a treck to Almoradi again. It doesn't help that there isn't a nearer office for all Crispin people. Sorry if it seems a bit of a rant.

We have a holiday home and pay everything by direct debit - No real need for bills as the bank sends detailed statements to the UK. Could not imagine relying on our post in Spain.

You probably mean Non Residents Tax unless your property is over 700,000 euro's in value.

Thank you all. I have a DD set up so payment is not a problem. However the Suma bill which has not arrived at the post office (or been sent back)!contains the valor catastral which is used to calculate the non residents tax (used to be Wealth tax) required to be paid by the end of the year. I use a very good company who complete the 210 form but I have to give them the valor catastral from the Suma. That is why I need the Suma itself. My bank does not have a separate PDF with Suma details which is a shame. So I think I have exhausted all avenues and will be off to Almoradi.
