Hi there folks, can anyone recommend a company with a good reputation for used cars in Spain. I want to avoid the backstreet kind of garages and have heard the nightmare cowboys tales of cars being clocked. I did live in Spain before and bought a reasonably priced car from a car hire company (F & C) in La Marina and it was pretty good on tax and everything else (it was a Mazda Demio) back in 2003-2005, any help would be appreciated. I was considering buying a Spanish registered car here in the UK and I am mindful that it would need to be clear of debts, tax, parking tickets, speeding fines etc, is ITV in place and is it taxed etc. Thanks in anticipation, Tim.

Hi we bought ours from Guadamar cars 2000, just past the hotel and opposite the police station, Steve is English, no pressure selling, he did all the paperwork, and sorted insurance out, we just had to go and pay for it which was Jennifer Cunningham in Benijofar. The car has been brill.

Hi we got a Dacia Sandero 4yrs old and paid 6000 euros, we knocked him down 999 euros, second hand cars are very expensive in Spain.
Only had one owner, and if you don't see anything they do have another showroom in Alicante. Good luck on your car hunting .

Would also recommed steve from guardamar cars, lovely guy and good quality cars

We bought a nissan juke from him, one owner genuine low mileage etc,

You are right to be wary, we had a terrible experience a few years ago, there are a lot of cowboys out there and the buying process is not easy like th uk
