If you like hot sunshine and very warm nights with outside dining possible every evening, then Summer between june and mid-September is best. If you like generally warm pleasant weather and cooler, but not cold, nights, April/May and mid-September to November can be very nice. Rain is possible anytime but in Summer it is rare to get long bouts of heavy rain. Summer rains are usually of short duration and are over as quick as they come, drying very fast. Autumn can have heavy rain sometimes and the most can happen during a Gota fría. A Gota Fria is the name given to storms which sometimes take place after the summer months when the sea temperature is still high and the temperature in the upper air suddenly drops. The warm air rises and cools too quickly when meeting the upper air. The result is very heavy rain and high winds, often with thunderstorms. However, a Gota Fria generally only happens once or twice a year and sometimes not at all.
