Hi,
I've used Performance Diesel Engine garage on the Guardamar industrial estate for the past 12 years. Family run and very honest and professional. They won't do any work that doesn't need doing and you get receipts and worksheets.

Wow I'm shocked that anyone can recommend this guy, my car went in there numerous times and the fault was never resolved and yet he continued to charge me a huge amount of money, in fact after over 1000€ I gave up and decided to find a true professional! His response was he could not afford to pay me back for any fault that he could not find but yet continued to suggest things he could change and do. My car actually slipped from the jack whilst he was working on it and not a word was said about the damage caused to my vehicle until I went to collect it and saw the damage! Ok, he did repair this but I was once again without my car for a further 3 days! I would never in a million recommend this garage or the owner. Please be very careful, I have never posted negative on this site but on this occasion felt I had to, as this is something I still feel extremely strong about even after 18 months!

I must agree with Cabbie.
My van wouldn't start if it had been parked facing uphill. If it was parked facing downhill it started immediately.
I suspected therefore that the fuel was running back to the tank.
Performance and Diesel said no, it wasn't that, the van needed new glo-plugs!
Up until then, I had never realised that glo-plugs were clever enough to know where I had parked my van, and to fail completely only when it was pointing uphill!!!
I'm not a mechanic, but their diagnosis didn't sound right!
Geoff.

We've used Roger a few times, good honest guy. Checked our car once when we had concerns and he didn't even charge us.
As you go through Los Montesinos he is near the end on the left.
