Re: SatNav not charging

My workflow for diagnosingthe problem would be to get a good quality mains USB charger that give an output of at least 2 amps. Plug in a good quality USB lead with the correct fitting for your Satnav (probably microUSB or miniUSB). If you have another device that uses the same type of connection then test the charger/lead combination with that device first to ensure that it’s working correctly.
Plug the satnav in and see if the charging light comes on (assuming it has one). Leave it a while to charge-up and see if it will power-up.
If thers a reset button then that might need pressing with paper clip etc to kick the satnav into life.
It’s also worth gently wiggling the lead where it plugs into the satnav incase you have a dodgy connection.
If none of these work then try googling your specificmake/model and “won’t power up” to see if there are other tricks that work for your particular satnav.
If non of this works then it’s probably going to need specialist attention, which may not be cost-effective.
Pete.
