its not a question of s bends, it is about how they fit or dont fit proper traps during the build in some cases they a create a bend in a flexible pipe that only holds 2 or 3 tablespoons of water.

i do not have mains drainage and the stink insinde the house was horrendous at times, have ground level separate apartment where the shower is connected to the pozo but the the toilet and basin are are on a saniflow, got the shower base replaced and as long as i run water every few days....no smells...used a spanish plumber who so far has always came up with a solution

We have just had a first floor extension built and had the same trouble in the ensuite. Found a brilliant plumber not from the contractors who did the build and it turns out it was a problem with the bath no s bend they dealt with it and no more smells.

Hi
We had the same problem after numerous plumbers we were at the end of our tether we had to seal the door to the bathroom as the smell was unbearable we had spent a fortune on different drain cleaners in the end we got a Spainish plumber who entered the bath said he knew what the problem was the took out the toilet and the bidet put a trap on them which was cheaper than taking the shower out, the cost was 60 euros money , money well spent

I do like the sound of an outside shower, particularly so our grandchildren and their friends can shower after they get out of the pool (no dripping inside!). Sounds nice for us too. Does anyone know someone who can supply and fit one please?

I had this problem in my underbuild shower, no matter what I did sometimes there would be an awful smell especially if it was windy outside, I put a large bottle of shampoo over the drain in the shower and its not smelled since, simple but effective!
