Hello, we're about to proceed on the purchase of a property that requires some updating. Namely, 2 X shower rooms require full retiles and shower, sink units and toilets replaced and kitchen requires new units fitted and walls retiled. Some electrical work and minor plumbing necessary. Can anyone advise of labour costs to do this sort of work. Material costs will be to choice. Kitchen is 3mx2.4m. shower rooms 2.4x1.8 approx. Thanks in advance for replies and any recommendations of tradespeople would be welcome

I'd always recommend Don alumimio but there are lots of others who are also recommended on here and offers of going to see the work done

Make sure whoever quotes for you includes the cost of obtaining the licenses.

Thanks Lynn, didn't even know you needed a license. Can understand for anything structural but do you also need them for general updating works ?

Yes you do, a lot don't bother and don't get fined depends what your neighbours are like and if the police are passing and how they feel. But you do need licences for tiling refitting kitchens and bathrooms, legally.
