Clean-Up Job!!

Francisco Lidon - (Estate Agent etc) in Lo Marabu is trying to preserve the gardens of an old finca in Dona Pepa. He is trying to get the locals to help tidy the garden, but first he had to go to the Town Hall with the request.

Best regards

It seems a good idea to get the neighbourhood to work together. I was just wondering if the Town Hall had another agenda for the finca, such as letting it fall into a state of repair and then demolishing it??? Not that I am ever suspicious about motives - of course not!!;)

Hi Sandra, Thanks for highlighting this. Do you or anyone else know this finca? It looks like it's in Calle Caceras.

I thought those gardens had been 'landscaped' only recently, at the same time as the big farmhouse gardens. I do remember the small building (finca) itself being very run down but imagined that it belonged to the farmhouse next door. I saw there had been some clearing & planting done when we walked past recently. I didn't think the garden looked messy, unless I missed something or am thinking about the wrong garden. It's fenced off.

Hi Jan

You're correct about the calle!!

Francisco is asking permission for the locals to go and tidy the garden up on 13th May. It's ages since I was in Spain, so not up to date with this. However, anything to keep the area looking nice can't be a bad thing:idea:

Yes it is a good idea and I'm sure there are lots of other places that could do with a clean up.

The finca is going to be used as a museum.

When the owner died she left the finca to the Quesada Community. I know that Francisco was trying to get permission for it to be a Museum. What type of I'm not sure but it should be very intersting.
