Covid Vaccine in Almoradi - Any Idea When?

Hello

I don't seem to have received the Almoradi Forum post for about a week now. I'm wondering whether it still exists? Or if anyone knows whether there are any plans yet to give the Covid vaccine in Almoradi in the near future? I know supplies were down from the expected amount and I can't seem to find any information about when the vaccine will be available here.

Thanks
Pat

There are no general appointments anywhere in Spain yet for the Covid vaccine. Only residential homes, the people who work in the homes, front line medical staff, other medical staff (GPs, those who work in the health centres, dentists and so on) have been vaccinated.
Due to the low number of vaccines received in Spain. this week will be completing the second dose for those not on the front line and then, hopefully, if they get enough vaccines, they will be calling in the over 80s as a general appointment.

When it is your turn, you will be called by whatever means you have registered with your health clinic or health authority. That my be email, SMS, phone or even letter.

This area has done very well but they can only go as fast as they have a supply of vaccines. They have vaccinated over 10% of the population in the residences and health workers with both vaccines and will contact you when they sufficient vaccines to do so.

Well said, I’m suprised that so many think vaccinations for the general public are anywhere in the near future
Long way to go yet

Thanks Marcliff for your helpful response.

I was invited to go for my first jab by my medical centre in East Sussex yesterday which is part of why I was interested to hear or read about how it was all progressing in Almoradi. I knew the supplies were delayed.

Jillandsteve, by the way, I was just asking whether anyone knew what the plans were for the future or where I could read about them somewhere.

Once again, thanks for the helpful response Marcliff :-)

Hi everyone has anyone tried to ring Linea Direct lately? I spoke to them on Monday but since the. Have not been able to get through. The number is answered with an option either 1, 2 or 3 but then it just cuts off. Have tried two different numbers and have tried on my landline and mobile.

Hi ptgrrtt, if you've been invited to go for your first jab by your medical centre in East Sussex yesterday, that suggests you are Non-resident, so curious as to why you are asking about vaccinations in Spain? More importantly, why are you here and not back in East Sussex getting your vaccine??!

We moved to Almoradi in October 2019 and are residents here. I work freelance in the UK and own a house there. My post was just to ask whether anyone had any up to date information as I was unable to find any when I searched. My question has been answered thanks!
