I still need to get my head around the borders of these......

BUT

I'll find out soon enough. I'm moving over PERMANENTLY in April (happy days!)

No doubt I'll become a "regular" on here- in the meantime

I'm Andy and work for Casas Espania.

I've got experience in PC's, I.T and lots of mobile phone repair experience, etc.

If it helps- towards the end of April I'll be moving over.

I'm currently based in Tamworth (House has sold in three days, STC)

Does anyone have anything they need bringing over? I am hoping to be on the Poole/ Portmouth/ Plymouth Ferry to Santander 22nd April (depending on passport being returned and being able to book a place for the dog on the ferry)- the offer is there. Beer tokens/ contributions towards the travel welcome. Don't ask about big stuff- I'm currently struggling to buy a van big enough in good condition to carry what few bits I am bringing- but If I can fit it in, I will)

I'm sooo looking forward to this.

See you soon

Andy

Good luck with your trip Andy. Hope all goes well.

Properties in England are selling like hot cakes at present. Not sure why the sudden up-turn but was told in our area alone there are around 50 people wanting to view each house. I wonder whether it's because of the relatively new idea of 'Open House' selling or it could be that 'open House' selling is a consequence of the booming housing market and shortage of properties for sale. Anyway, I have been trying to help my daughter find a property (first timer) and it's nigh on impossible as I don't want her to go into a sealed bid situation...very frustrating. Great for sellers though, so mustn't knock it. LOL

Congratulations on your fast house sale! Very exciting time for you moving to a new country.

Jan.

Indeed. I was surprised. Estate agent second visit and photos Friday, phone calls Monday afternoon with 3 viewings that night, offer received Tuesday AM and negotiations sorted, offer accepted Tuesday PM.

It cost me a small fortune with the estate agent, BUT it doesn't matter. I've got what I wanted and they've sold the house fast. I could have hung out for more but not sold it for a fair amount of time. I'm keen to get out there... so I was realistic.

As for sealed bids. No thanks. Would rather do it the old fashioned way. Agree a price and get on with it. just hope it doesn't fall through- I've handed my notice in at work here in the UK and got everything in motion. All I need now is to buy a van, sell the car and clear all the junk I've accumulated over the years lol.

(That will teach me to be a hoarder!)
