Talk Quesada forum

We are both pensioners (67 & 68 years) and we have moved to Quesada and have applied for the S1 form for residentia.
However, the NHS told me when we applied that it is temporary and lasts for 2 years.
Can anyone tell me what we would do after the 2 years.
I have tried to look online but nothing seems to answer the question.

Probably just in case leaving the EU changes health arrangements, unlikely but not certain. Just covering their backs.

The NHS should not have told you that, it's incorrect
Firstly as we have not yet left the eu or even started exit negotiations then currently nothing has changed
Secondly as nobody knows what health care deals will agreed to during the negotiations then they can't say whether the S1 ' are permanent or temporary

Just a case of wait and see I suppose, no-one knows whats going happen after Brexit.

If the eu promise to honour existing agreements for Brits in the eu then there us no doubt that the uk govt. will reciprocate
Theresa May will gain nothing by denying those eu citizens currently employed in the uk. and the eu have said that they want this all settled favorably for both camps as early as possible
Spain sells something like £21 billion worth of goods to the uk annually and they can't afford to lose that whereas I belive that the uk sells about £12 of stuff to Spain
Plus the annual holiday migration to the Costa whatever is, regardless to remainer doomsayers, will continue full pelt

I'd say you have been misinformed. The S1 is to prove you have paid your national insurance contributions over PAST years and like me you probably paid all your working life. Looks like the government trying yet another stealth move

We bought a nice villa in September in Quesada that we have refurbished internally. None of our refurbishments caused any problems or noise to the neighbours and all workmen left around 4pm each day. We have now completed the garden and we are looking forward to our first summer here. However, the villa next door has been sold and the builders are in doing exterior reconstruction work. They have been there now for about 8 weeks.

The building work is not a problem but the jack hammer noise and cutting of metal is a problem. We have it all day every day, we cannot sit in the garden for the noise and we have to shut our doors and windows all day because of the dust and noise. The other day we had the jack hammer going from 9am to 7pm with only a temporary lull at lunch time. We have dust all over our pool and bbq and our table and chairs.

Are there any rules for the amount of noise here in Quesada. Because of the extensive work next door we fear that we will have this terrible noise all the summer.

Maybe have a friendly chat with the workers or the villa owner, to find out how long etc. What are they having done?

Pretty sure nothing can be done about building site noise, within working hours.
They seem to be working long hours so I suspect it won't last too long, also pretty sure someone wants the work completed before summer at the latest.
Yes, it sucks to have to put up with the noise, but hey ho. Go out for the day, relax at home when they have finished, the old saying "you can't make an omelette without breaking eggs" springs to mind. They are just doing their job. But as stated above, go say hello and find out the timescale of the works to put yourself at ease.

Ahaaa...of course...it's the Government's fault again...not just one person in the NHS making a mistake.
