Where is Torrevieja?
Posted: Tue Apr 02, 2013 7:28 amTorrevieja is a coastal town on the Costa Blanca in Spain. It is south of the city of Alicante and about 30 minutes drive from Alicante Airport. Torrevieja was originally a small fishing village. It is situated between the sea and two large salt lakes. The salt lakes are reputed to give the area a healthy microclimate. Over the years Torrevieja has vastly expanded, mainly due to the tourist industry.
