So sorry to hear this - Poor thing!

If only some people were extra careful, especially with puppies. Of course they will be energetic and playful and I know it's not easy to keep them in one place but it only takes a bit of extra care to check that there are no gaps they can get through and keep gates shut and locked, at least for a few months while they are puppies, until they become more sensible with age.

One of the puppies that was lost recently was being walked on a piece of land that appeared to have fencing all around but which had lots of, non obvious, gaps in the fencing. Most fenced off areas are not secure even if they look like they are, as the fencing is often pushed down in places and gaps arise after a while under the fencing.

As we all know dogs should not be off lead at any time, by law, but there is a dog walking area (piece of land) in Lo Marabu, Dona Pepa which is apparently securely fenced and is there for the use of dog owners. Bins and bags (if the box is replenished!) are there for the owners too - It's on the Avda Salamanca/Avda de Malaga junction not far from the Consum area of Dona Pepa.
