How to clear your Unread Posts.

If you haven't had time to read them and you find that your 'unread posts' mount up too much in your personal Welcome Back panel, at the top of the home page, you can clear them by clicking 'Mark all forums as read'.

That way you will only see new posts in there as they come in and you can click on 'unread posts' each time you want to see if there is anything of interest to read (and then click 'Mark all forums as read' afterwards).

This way you shouldn't have hundreds of posts in there at any one time and you will only see new posts when you want to look at them to see if any are of interest to you.

Hope this is helpful.

Reminder

It's much easier to see the latest posts if you clear all the unread posts that are of no interest to you - Generally a title will be all you need to know that a topic is of no interest.

If you do this regularly, then the only posts in your 'unread posts' will be relatively new ones.

Due to the ill health of a family member, I have not yet moved to Spain, or been on the forum for some time, I have 10,400 unread posts! I tried scrolling through the pages, yet they are still there, what can I do?

Edit, should have said new posts, not unread posts, seems they are different. How do you clear 10,400 new posts!

Just click 'Mark all forums as read' and they will then all go and only any new posts will go in there.

Hi, I tried that, and unread posts go to zero, but new post count is 10,435. How do I get rid of those?
I´m now blonde, but it isn´t natural !
Thanks
Loops
