I do repeat the steps, every single time.

So it works for some and not others.

You need to have cookies enabled on each device you use to access the forum if you wish to remain logged-in.
The cookie saves your login credentials when you tick the 'keep me logged-in' checkbox.
Some browsers can be set to clear cookies when the browser is closed.

If you don't know how to enable cookies on your device/browser combination then google it - e.g. "Enabling cookies for google chrome on android" or "enabling cookies for Safari on IOS".

My devices keep me logged in to every other site I have chosen to keep logged in on. So it's not a cookie, browser or device issue.
It's not really an issue, just saying when Jan said "It does work" it clearly doesn't for all.

Check that this site isn't blocked in your cookie settings.
Also, try deleting the cookie(s) relating to this site then going through the 'keep me logged-in' process.

You're not getting it.

If I choose stay logged in, and then reopen on that device it does in fact stay logged in, proving cookies etc are correct.
If I then log in on another device, I have to choose stay logged in and yes, it stays logged in.
Then I go back to the other device, I then have to choose stay logged in again, rinse and repeat.

Okay, I understand your issue now.
I'm guessing that the site is checking that the session cookie being used is in fact the most recent coolie that's been issued to you. When it sees an older cookie being used it rejects it and makes you re-authenticate.
If you're a google chrome user (on both devices) and you sign-in to chrome on both devices with the same credentials then I believe you can choose to synchronise session cookies, which should solve your particular issue.

That sounds as if it could be a cause, except I use Safari on one device and Chrome on the other.

Are you using an old bookmark to get to the site? Maybe you need to remove the bookmark and then enter the site manually (entering the web-address) and then log in and check the stay logged in box and after that add the bookmark again.

Possibly, I will delete all bookmarks/cookies and try again on different devices. See if you've found the answer
