Does anyone have any ideas on the best way to get from Malaga to Alicante? I know you can't get direct flights but was wondering if the train would be the better option.

Any ideas will be gratefully received.

Thanks

I have driven up a few times and it depends if you have the time. Haven't used train sorry. Perhaps someone else in the group can advise.

The train is via Madrid as there are no direct routes as yet. Takes between 5 and 6 hours but can be longer if you have to change at Cordoba.
There is a direct bus (also from Torrevieja) and takes 7 and a half to 8 and a half hours with normally a change at Granada. Lots of these go at night.

Hi , I have used the bus from Alicante to Malaga, operated by Alsa. It leaves some time after 10 in the morning, stops at Murcia , then heads off towards Granada , with a comfort break for the driver (legal requirement) and passengers. Drops into Granada , for short stop , then heads off to Malaga, arriving shortly after 4 O'clock. Simple , no hassle journey.Check the Alsa website as there is probably a reverse trip operating from Malaga at similar times. If not the bus I have used does a fairly quick turnaround and gets into Alicante late evening.Hope this helps......
