Looking for advice...

I'm bringing over an item in sealed plastic packaging which contains fixing screws. I'm just wondering whether I'd be able to take the package through in carry-on luggage.

I've contacted the airline (Easyjet), and have no reply as yet (and no joy on the phone to them). Flying out on Monday so was hoping to get an answer before then!

Thanks!

Drill bits are not allowed so probably not screws. Screws are cheap enough in Spain anyway especially at the ferreteria in Ciudad Quesada opposite the petrol Station. However, try it, the worst that will happen is that they get confiscated.

We have brought all sorts of things over from door handles to tools , to tins of spam. It's airport security that's the issue not the airlines themselves and as each airport is different, depending on who is on duty that day, how busy it is, what frame of mind they are in will depend on whether you got through. It's a lottery.

Why not post the screws to yourself in Spain?

Pete.
