Posted: Wed Aug 02, 2017 5:21 pmNo. As previously stated this is media scaremongering. I fly regularly Alicante to Gatwick and there has been no major q's at security. I flew yesterday at 17.00 and there were no q's at security and the airport was surprisingly quiet for August.

Barcelona airport security are on a work to rule. Hence the delays there.
