I see they`re constructing toll barriers at the Departures level at Alicante airport. Not content with the ordinary car parking charges it seems AENA has dreamed up a new `cash cow` for a 45 second drop off. There`s always something. :x

Actually they are apparently going to allow 15 minute stay at a charge but no longer, if you leave after dropping off I am told you will not be charged this is to stop people picking up from the drop area off rather than paying a 90 cent charge! in the car park, if you were to do this in the UK it would be considerably more me thinks.

£1 drop off fee at East Midlands, Leeds and Luton £2.
I think the 15 minutes free is fair as it is quite fair as departures is quite often packed with people waiting for arrivals.

Just back from the UK and my son had to pay 2.50 at Luton just to drive in, unload us and drive off. Spain is behind the times when it comes to milking the public!!!

I recently had to pick my husband up from Gatwick where he was supposed to land at Gatwick South and they diverted to North without notice. The car park cost me £7.00.

If anyone has to go to Birmingham to pick up/drop off use the International station, no charge. Then use the free shuttle, takes 2 minutes straight into main airport building.
