Here's the translation for Friday from the programme in our Fiestas forum:

Most of the Floats (Pasos) are carried out of the Church so it is a good place to watch. Enjoy.

Yes. A little later starting this year, 8pm.
As "Janjan" said, take up a position in front of the church and if you want to see some again then go to the other side of the square and you'll see the Pasos as they come along Ramon Gallud.
The smaller Pasos leave from the church, the larger ones come round from the back.
Look out for the biggest of them all "El Huerto". Jesus in the garden of olives is usually carried by 100 men but this year, unfortunately, we only have 30-35 so as it is impossible to carry 1500 kilos it will be wheeled round.
We're the guys in green shirts, black trousers and gold cummerbund.
Get there early, have a drink and some tapas.
Enjoy.

The big church on Ramon de gauld,if you,ve never been before, get there early buy a seat on front 5€ take a cushion don,t drink to much take food its very well attended it goes on for about 5 hours great spectacle if you need a toilet break beware they don,t like you pushing throughi suggest you take a position opposite the church square sadly the costellero.s will not be carrying there Paso but just pushing it this year there numbers have fallen to only 40 and they need 100 men to carry,it weighs nearly 2,000 kgs a rare feat don,t miss it

Good tips above thank you.

You mention toilet breaks and my question though is where are the toilets. The organisers never seem to arrange portaloos or similar and it's difficult to find anywhere to use a toilet without having to buy an unwanted drink. When I have to go I have to go and walking into a bar & ordering a drink before using the loo takes time and is awkward when alone.
Has anyone found a solution to this.

After a few years of this problem at various fiesta's I sadly avoid going these days.

There aren't Public Toilets. You just walk into any Bar or Restaurant and use theirs. It takes a while to get used to but needs must.

Thank you but has anyone encountered being confronted by the bar owner. I have never tried so far to use a bar toilet but once saw someone being embarrasingly turned away (almost manhandled!) and shouted at by the Spanish owners because they did not want to order a drink first. I felt for them as sometimes the pressing need to use the loo does not allow for time to sit down and order a drink. This was in a touristy area where there were no public or other loos. It left me traumatised
:text-lol: not really funny!
