Saw on the Neighbourhood Watch Site that a 75 year old lady was approached by a Spanish female outside her home in Dona Pepa this morning. Her gold chains were ripped from her neck and her coat torn in the process. Female ran to a waiting grey Ford Focus. Lady did manage to thump assailant in the face during the assault.

Give my regards to the lady she is a brave lady but be carefull they do carry weapons. Pete.

Not really, it´s why we´re all so shocked when there is one.
We need to be vigilant though, wherever we live.

Jan I am a co-ordinator with the OCVC I get all the reports send to me on a regular basis with crimes in all areas and on one occasion a screwdriver was used to threaten a person. Also they have backups on occasions.

. Orihuela Costa victims crime, we have many on the books all over, people like me try collate crimes in our areas and we then send them to our colleagues they then send them to the Guardia to look at, it has been a great sucess over the years, no crimes here for ages.
