:naughty: :( We have just returned to the Uk for a couple of months.
My neighbour emailed to say she had noticed my outside patio grilles were ajar. There had been a lot of windy weather and she thought they had blown open.
She reported no damage of anything and relocked them.
I knew the wind could not have done this and asked her if my bike, which was hung fron the ceiling was still there.....it was not!

So, thieves knew the house was empty, and knew there was a bike ready for nicking, and knew they could spring open the grilles without using a key!

Incredible as all this took place at the rear of the property in a gated community....how did they know?
I have now padlocked the grilles, and the moral is...."you don,t know who is watching, be on your guard and check your locking gates are properly secure"

Incidentally I had another bike pinched last year from my front garden. It was chained to the ballustrades, the front gate was locked, and the garden brightly lit from the main road. I heard a noise at 3.30 am , and could only shout at the two youths from my bedroom window as they used bolt cutters on the chain, then lifted the bike over the wall and away!
If there is any chink in your security, they, the bandidos, will find it and exploit it!
