Weve just had 2 females (youngish) trying our gate in Rojales Hills asking for agua.Luckily they couldnt gain access.Told them no.They Kept asking. Our dog was barking but it didnt deter them.I threatened with the police. They shouted abuse. Then left and got into a car and drove off.
The car was parked round the corner therefore no information.
Please be alert.

It's in the correct place - Thanks for posting - This type of potential thieving has been going on for years. They see an open door (usually) or try a gate and holding an empty bottle go up to it, hoping no one is around, and attempt to walk in to steal whatever is to hand (bags/phones/money etc)- If someone confronts them they say 'Agua please'? all innocently, as if they were looking for someone to give them water.

These ones appear to be more brazen and possibly were hoping you would go to get the water while they try to grab whatever they could while your back is turned!!!

Keep all gates and doors (or at least gates and grills) locked at all times, wherever you are in the house or garden and ignore anyone asking anything at the gate or door. Don't be polite - it just isn't worth it.

Thanks for the warning - It would appear they seem to be doing the rounds all over :(
Saw this on another forum posted yesterday:
Security alert. We are aware of local reports, of a pair of woman walking into houses and stealing items. Late this afternoon, on Quesada La Fiesta, after returning from our shopping trip, and whilst we were putting the shopping away, a young SPAINISH woman walked into our house uninvited. She appeared to speak no English and on being challenged could only say " cleaning". When we said no, both woman got into their car, a silver estate registration number 4492 GBG. and drove away.
BE AWARE everyone

Yep on my street in Villamartin last week. Just walked into my neighbours house I watched them assuming my neighbour knew them. She ushered them out but they got nothing . Walked two doors down to my house but a stir and a shake of my head and they never came in
