The 222 Italian Restaurant is in Doña Pepa, Ciudad Quesada, at the rear of the Lo Marabu Bar, next door to the Little Don Carlos Spanish Bar and adjacent to the side of the Laguna Hotel, just off the new roundabout at the entrance to Doña Pepa, off the Lemon Tree Road.

They serve authentic Italian pizza, pasta and main meals in a large inside and outside eating area. There are many choices of original freshly cooked Italian Dishes (See the menu link below) .

The Pizza's are prepared and cooked in a Log Burning Oven for maximum flavour and they also do Pizza's to the personal choice of the customer.

Jan wrote:Went to the 222 Italian on Monday. As always the food was good. We all started with the garlic pizza bread, which they have to perfection and is melt in the mouth delicious - One pizza bread (5 euro's) is generally enough between 2 to 4 persons, and it was plenty for us as a very nice light starter. Our son & daughter then had Pizza's and a bowl of frites. The Pizza's are beautifully cooked in the pizza oven (Pizza's from 8 euros), and we had my husbands favourite dish in this restaurant of the thinly sliced pork in creamy wine sauce with mushrooms, vegetables & thin fries (something like De Maiale con Salsa Di Funghi (?) on the menu - 10.50 euro), very nice.

What we also like about this place is, as they are a take-away, they are quite happy to pack up into boxes any leftovers, which is good if anyone has a small appetite like me and our kids. We had a good lunch the next day of the leftover pizza (5 mins in a hot oven and it was as good as the night before) and jacket potatoes...yum!

The service is casual but friendly, they don't fuss, but sometimes it would be nice to be asked if we want a Pudding, even though we don't usually have one.

They offer complementary schnapps with the bill and the Limoncello (Italian Lemon liqueur) is lovely!

They also offer a menu of the day, served up to 9pm for 8.50 euro - 3 courses (with a drink included). I give it 5 stars out of 5.
