I can't see it being guaranteed caterpillar free if there are trees and bushes there. Even pavements can have the processional caterpillars on occasionally, you just have to be aware at certain times of the year.

not quite true, in the cloud u need ice and water droplets, super cooled, and its the water that makes the ice crystals grow into snow flakes. Mike

I spoke too soon about it not raining. And rather colder today although a couple of hours sun this afternoon was very welcome.
