Wow!

Rojales fiesta should be brilliant this week with these temperatures:

We are certainly into the "uncomfortable" zone with high humidity at the moment. Nice, cool breezes for sitting outside in the evening but very sweaty in bed even with just a sheet and the windows open.
Wouldn't swop it for the alternative, though.

Yes, I never complain however hot it is in Spain because my alternative, most of the time, is the unpredictable UK weather.

I just adore the evenings sitting outside this time of year in Spain and am really missing them :( but may be able to get there in September/October hopefully, which is another favourite time of mine.

Hi Everybody

Just be grateful for what you have.

I am in Cordoba and it's 40 degrees at 23:30.

Can't wait to get back to Quesada on Monday to cool down.

So, the weather in UK is forecast to be in the 90s and possibly up to 100 from tomorrow (why do we, as Brits, use the F scaled when it's hot yet the C scale when it's cold? Like "nearly a 100" or "the weather was minus such and such yesterday).
Already, the press is full of dire warnings about heat stroke, sweat rashes, rail disruption due to tracks melting, road mess because of melting tar, food poisoning from BBQs and even dangers of being bitten by man-eating ticks who love the hot weather. And don't forget your milk will go off every time you open the fridge door.
I wonder how we have all managed to survive over here?

Yes - I always think it strange when people in the UK complain about the heat during one of our rare 'heat waves'. They don't last that long...and that's absolutely guaranteed in the UK, unlike Spain! Some people even complain about what most of us would call nice warm weather and forget how long and cool our Spring Autumn and Winters are, including most of our Summer.

As for saying 90 to 100f, that's just age I'm afraid. My son and daughter tell me off for not quite 'getting it' when they say it's going to be 25c etc. I keep saying I will get the hang of it one day...but probably not.
