My husband is travelling from the UK to Spain by train as he is not able to fly due to an accident. Is there a bus service from the railway station in Alicante to the airport ( I am flying and then driving) or Guardamar area where I could meet him.

i have collected family from Alicante a few times, and parking there can be a nightmare, plus you need to know exactly where your going.
I would suggest he takes the train to San Isidro and you pick him up there. Parking is good and the driving distance is nearer

There is a bus service from Alicante bus terminal to Alicante airport. Ailso at the airport is an airport bus that goes straight to Torrevieja. Not sure though how far the bus terminal is from the railway station.
Your husband may be able to get a bus to Guardamar from the Alicante bus terminal. Hopefully someone may be able to tell us or show us a timetable on here.

Lots of buses from Alicante to Guardamar from Alicante bus station..Costa Azul service

they usually run from Alicante to Cartagena with stops at Santa Pola, La Marina Guardamar etc on the way--

--. if you are lucky with the times you can also get an Alicante to Rojales bus... but they are not as regular.. there is a good info desk at the bus station so just ask..

The Alicante bus station is 10 - 15 mins walk from the railway station.
Turn right out of station and follow main road to bottom - bus station is to left.

Since March, the Costa Azul buses from Alicante now only go to Pilar de la Horadada, but stop in Guardamar
