I am considering taking holiday lets through TripAdvisor at my spare apartment in Quesada. I want to offer free airport pickup and return. I have fully comprehensive car insurance and can upgrade to business use if required. Is this fully legal? I will obtain Spanish holiday lets licence and declare all income to the tax authorities.

You'll also need to check requirements at the Airport as they clock regular vehicles and can seize them and ask questions later as they are considered as illegal Taxis . . .

It will not be possible for you to do it yourself in your own car, you'd have to get a taxi licence and from what I understand that is very very hard and difficult. It's bad enough for people who want to set up a taxi business and very expensive.

You can do it if you make sure that your clients have an invoice showing that you are providing transport to and from the airport as part of the rental transaction but the vehicle must be specified

I would have thought that if you are not charging specifically for the service, as in its complimentary, will give you a lift if you want one type of approach, then to me its just as it appears, you are simply giving someone a lift.
but having said that, for peace of mind then check with your insurance and tell them no money exchanges hands, are you allowed to give lifts to strangers, see what they say.
