Bus station in Rojales to Alicante

Hello

I am travelling to ALICANTE this summer with my friends and will live in an apartment in the Rojales center (very close to the old bridge).

Can anyone tell me where I can take the bus to Alicante and Guardamar? How much a one way ticket cost?

I heard local bus operator is Agosten, but no information more than that. Do you know if they are running bus with a reliable time schdule? The reason why I ask this questions is that one day we need to catch a train from Alicante railway station, so we need to know if we can rely on the bus service and we have to take the pricy taxi.

Thanks so much in advance!

Hello Julien, :text-welcomewave: Welcome to TalkQuesada.

If you go to the town hall in the centre of Rojales (Ayuntamiento) when you get there and ask in there about the buses - It's quite a small town so the town hall is quite close to where you are. They are very helpful and usually understand some English and Spanglish. They have bus timetables and should be able to tell you all the buses that leave from Rojales.

Here's a timetable I just found on-line for Agostense buses to Guardamar but please check first, before using this timetable, that it is up to date:

http://www.agostense.com/pdfs/vegabaja2.pdf

Hope this helps - Someone else on here may know more, and if there are also buses to Alicante.

Hope you have a great time. It's a lovely Spanish town.

Jan.

yes the buses to Guardamar and Alicante go from outside Tylers steak bar, just over the bridge and round the bend from where you will be staying. The timetable is on the side of the bus shelter just across the road from Tylers. No idea of cost but the locals use it, so must be reasonable. Hope this helps a bit. .There is no bus station yet in Rojales but there is a plan to build one./
Mike

Hi Julienne,
I went into the Town Hall in Rojales today and while we were there I asked about the timetable for the buses to Alicante and the lady said the new Summer times for the buses start next week. I took a photo of the timetable that is on the bus stop. It gives some idea of the times of the buses and where they go. I will try in the next week or so to see if I can get an updated timetable and put it on here.:

Here's the timetable (June 20th) :
