In order to go around LAU and taxes and is more owner friendly rather than for the tenant one would think. Should legally be a 12 month contract unless rented as a short term holiday rental. If a tenant takes the owner to court for whatever reason the owner will be the first to regret his/her decision. Best to follow the law, LAU!
