I am sure you will know this, but I´ll say it anyway..

Disconnect everything, including the hot water boiler, aircon, telly, etc..(even if they are not switched on). and see if it still trips ..... if it doesn´t try plugging in things one at a time to see when it does ... that will give you the faulty appliance.

If it still trips when everything is unplugged, I think an electrician is needed...

Good luck..

If you have a new smart meter fitted in your outside box I'm sure I read on here that there's a reset lever (or something) in that box that can reset the electric. If nothing else works.

Yes there is a button on the smart meter which will be situated outside your house, just press the button to reset.

If you have a smart meter and you have tried everything suggested they can need re setting some have a green button if not it needs to be reset by Iberdrola you would need to call them on 900171171 24 hrs they will normally get to you within 2 hours.

Also if you have a smart meter and it trips it can also take the smart meter out completely if this happens there is a flashing icon in the bottom right of the meter display which indicates it may need replacing Iberdrola will organize this.

For info we do have a smart meter and there is no reset button on it.
Turned out to be a supply cable to the meter that was shorting. Amazed to find that when we did call Iberdrola and it was deemed as an emergency , they were here within 30 mins
They did say it wasn't an Iberdrola issue but fixed it anyway with no charge, suggesting we get an electrician to check the other cables.
Brilliant service!

Have you checked your bill there might be a charge every month for insurance and that covers the call out

Our smart meter kept tripping out whilst all of the family were out in summer. We found that by turning all of the trip switches in the house fuse box to the off position, waiting for a few seconds, and then turning them on one by one with the main switch last usually did the trick and restored supply.

We had a smart meter fitted by Iberdrola last year and began having intermittent trips which required the reset button pressing on the meter.
Prior to having a smart meter, we only ever had problems when we were overloading the appliances (cooker, air con etc. all at once)
After the smart meter was fitted the trips were occurring when hardly anything was being used and that became a real headache.
I contacted Iberdrola and explained what was going on and they told me the reason was my supply power capacity was only 2.9 Kwh.
I had to pay a one-off fee of about 110 euros to upgrade it to the maximum allowed, which is now 5.9 Kwh.
No further trouble after that.
It was just a shame that they didn't tell us that this was going to happen when they installed it.
