Sky box

Hi I have 1.9sky dish if I brought a Sky box from UK would it work the same as in the uk

Yes, but it’s not a good idea to connect it to your internet as Sky may detect that it’s being used abroad.

Apparently its not so much that SKy will detect it, it wont (or wouldn't) work from a non-UK IP address, unless you use a VPN . . . From April there is a new EU directive that your domestic TV subscription must be available anywhere in the EU for you to use . . so SKY Go etc will now work abroad in the EU (for 30 days at least according to SKY) I'm not sure if a SKY box should now work on an internet connection or not. Via the Dish most channels should work but some may be iffy as its on the edge of the satellite footprint and depends on the size and perfect alignment of your dish . . .

I brought one at carboot works well with my sat dish

Don’t forget the Skybox Must be “Paired” with the Sky card, any old card won’t do.

You can watch as Freeview with no card and get all main UK channels.

I have a new box for sale on here listed today if you are interested
