Is there any problem that people are aware of of replacing plastic lamas with aluminium ones of the same profile when the plastic ones break? i.e. gradually replace all the plastic ones with aluminium ones. Just fed up with keep having to replace the plastic ones!!

Assuming that they are the same profile then there shouldn’t be a problem, although it may not look great and the action of metal against plastic may accelerate breakage of the plastic slats.

Personally, I’d get hold of a mitre/chop saw with a fine toothed blade and use it to cut the aluminium slatsto the correct length and replace all the slats in a single window in one go.

Pete.
