Grout removal

Hi all,

Looking for some advice, please.

We have now been in our villa for almost a year and renovations/decoration is going ok room by room.

The next room to tackle is the lounge, but whilst we are really happy with the floor tiles, the grout is discoloured with small sections missing, the gap between the tiles is quite small so really don't want to use a diamond disk because of the risk of chipping the tiles.

I suppose what i'm really asking is, is there some chemical, readily available that would remove the existing grout so it can be redone.

Looking forward to ant replies, Thanks.

you can buy a chemical that removes cement residue, so it might remove grout, ..why not go down to the Ferreateria next to Madagascar pet shop and ask ,near were all the car sales are near Aldi,
they all speak English and are very helpful,
saying that I had some grout a big stain on the pot sink, tried every thing nothing moved it , bought some cleaning vinegar ,70 cents a bottle ,moved/disolved it after a few soaks with neat solution,

You can get grout removal tools from the ferrería or Bricolage. Basically they are a small length of metal with abrasive material on the end. It’s hard work , scrubbing these things backwards and forwards along the grout lines but they do work. You will need more than one!
