With regard to your purchase predicament I agree with Glassfull - at this stage of the buying process it is really out of the Estate Agents hands. What advice has your solicitor given you? Your solicitor would certainly have the vendors details for direct contact. Also it looks like you are withdrawing completely from buying and not simply delaying the purchase. Business is hard enough in these trying times without been named/shamed for something out of your control.

Good post, and factual.

In all honesty I am not that nasty so I would not say anything. Yes I want to pull out completely, even if my husband recovered it will be many many months of rehabilitation I have been told so I just want to be near my family In The uk. Nothing against Spain it has always been our dream to retire here we just did not bargain for covid but then nobody did.

I really do hope your husband recovers soon and there is an answer quickly for you. This is dreadful for you at such an unfortunate time. Wishing you all the best and I cannot think who and why is actually holding the money you paid and on what grounds are they holding it.

But surely you must have started the buying process during the Covid pandemic? If you did you can hardly use it to justify pulling out if this is the case, and I sincerely hope your husband makes a speedy recovery x
