Does anyone have experience with Guardamar town hall planning department, I have enclosed my outside porch with uvpc glass profiles and glass curtains to the front elevation and I am not sure if this requires planning approval. would be grateful for any advice.

A UPVC enclosure is classed as a permanent structure, so yes you will need to apply for a licence before works are carried out. Guardamar are not the quickest ayuntamiento for issuing licenses, so unless you are prepared for harassing them at least once a week, you could be waiting months for approval. Your builder will normally do this for you before commencing work.

Sounds like the OP has already completed the work!

Thanks for the info Graham, The work has already been completed as I was told by others who have the same thing, it does not need planning permission. Do the people at the planning office speak English ?

You’ve basically created an additional room in your property, so it will need a licence as well as being entered on the deeds of the property as you’ve increased the internal area.
However not everyone does actually get a licence, which could cause a problem when you come to sell your property. I think that’s why most people go for aluminium frame type if they are found out, they are easier to remove.
Bit hit and miss with English speakers at Guardamar, but applying shouldn’t be a problem.
