Ours, for a 3 bed just the two of us and no pool, averaged out at 50 euro a month last year.
However, there has been a reduction in charges and taxes due to the financial crisis which ends this month so expect it to be a bit higher, probably 55 to 60 euro a month.

There are lots to take into account, how many people in the house, what is electric, water, cooking or is it gas and what tariff you are on. My father has a large 4 bedroomed house and his electric is roughly 80 a month (water and cooking gas). We have a small 3 bedroomed house and ours is 120 a month also with water and cooking being gas. So it can vary quite a bit

We have a Fortuna style house, 2 bed. Last year we average e58 per month. However, we changed Tariff in October going from e0.24 per KHW to e0.15. We rent our house out when we are not using it and that included a very high bill summer when a very inefficient aircon unit was being used. As you would in the UK you need to shop around for the best tariff for your use.

We also got our bill today and we are on the 8 hour tariff, but there is a problem with it, total amount to pay was only 44€, so I checked the promotion and non promotion usage, that's where the problem is, promotion usage 171kw, non promotion usage 5.62kw, that is impossible to achieve.

At some point they are going to realise and ask for more money, well not so much ask as take.

Hi
Thank you all for your replies, very helpful.
As a comparison our December electricity bill was £110 (€128).
I know it's a bit cheeky but could you give me an average monthly charge for gas, water and poll tax,
This will make you smile, our December gas bill was £123, water rates £50 pm and pole tax £174 pm
How does the 8 hour tariff work
Thanks again for all your help
A brilliant forum
Mark
