Doesn't effect me, and I haven't researched it, but this may be of interest to anyone who has had a Spanish morgage.

My 15 year Bankinter mortgage, which is due to end next year has been unaffected. Apart from 1 or 2 years (due to economic crash in 2007/2008) the others have all been at very low interest. Mine is set at 0.5% above 12 month Eurobor rates, set in November each year.

No win no fee and 25% + IVA if they are successful (i.e. 30%).

We are using the firm in the original article Gomez Zurdo Associados. Just call the Barceloba number. After that you deal with an English office. Don't know if they are any good because the process has only just begun, but they got the action going very quickly. All done online via email so simple. They review your mortgage deed and tell you if have a case. You pay them 25%+IVA if they get you a refund, nothing if not. I am doing it this way because I don't want to spend time dealing with the bank myself, but apparently you could do that too if you wanted. Can't say I trust them though after they applied these abusive clauses in the first place.

For those of you that are trying to get a rebate of fees it would be great if you could update us on progress as I and no doubt a few others would find it most helpful. Is there an end stop date for claims as I need to find the paperwork first. I like many didn't receive an invoice they just emailed me and took the cash from the account.

Hi we contacted a person who acts for you in getting a refund. But they have told us that now the banks must contact you directly with an offer if you have been over charged this is something the government has insisted they do. If I here anything more I will update my post for you
