Just remember that if you buy a property for say €80k and you think the tax is €8k(10%) Think again, It is dependant on how much the property was valued by the local council. In other words if this property was valued by them at €100k then you are paying €10k. Agents will not tell you this.

Agents are to find houses. Lawyers are to calculate costs and fees. Talk to these people before parting with any money. SGM Abogados in Benijofar. They will be able to guide you through the process safely as many on this forum will contest to. On a property of 100k the total costs are usually no higher than 13% if you don't have a mortgage. Mortgage setup costs are very high here in Spain as unfortunately I have found out! Good luck on your purchase.
