Lloyds to Sabadell transfer - Help please!!

Has anyone managed to activate their BS Online card. I am having terrible trouble trying to activate it online and it is costing so much to phone Spain and each time I do they say they can't do anything! Help please!

I am using my passport number and the first four digits of my pin/password, AS INSTRUCTED - The same ones I use for accessing Lloyds online, as instructed.

 :? :x

Hi Jan,

I have sent you a PM with the e-mail details of the contact that I have at Sabadell Benijofar branch. He may be able to help as I find that sending a quick e-mail is normally better than spending ages on the phone.

Cheers.

Thanks that will be great - If we were in Spain I think we may have changed banks by now but it's almost impossible from the UK - You are lucky to be there just at the right time. I wish we had booked a flight now, just to do this LOL!

You can PM me if you would rather 'talk' privately about this.

Obviously a problems with your page on the site..............All you need to view your account on line is your reference number and password. I n my case i us my NIE but in C ma b4 it was my PP. there are only 4 digits in your password to enter the account, enter and it should pop up. Mike

As mentioned on the other thread, make sure you are using the
number from the passport you opened the account with, not your current one as it might have changed.
Alternatively, when bancaja became Bankia, the login ID changed to the NIE number without the letters.
For example, X123456M became 123456.
The password became the same as the PIN on the debit card if you have one.

Thank you everyone. It seems I am using the correct information as confirmed from all your helpful info. I have been using the correct access 'codes' from the beginning (as Sabadell has confirmed) but I am now blocked from trying again! Sabadell on Twitter are puzzled too but they are very good and have not given up on me. I am expecting another call from them soon. Will keep you all updated.

We went into Lloyd's Guardamar yesterday to close our account & heard part of the conversations of the two separate clients at the adjacent table. Each asked "How do we activate our card,we've spent ages trying?" We had to concentrate on our own conversation with Thomas so couldn't hear much of the rest but you're not the only one who's having problems.

We now are customers of Caja Rural Central.

Thanks Guapa for the reassurance. It's interesting to hear that we are not the only ones.

Sabadell themselves are even having trouble accessing our new Sabadell account to unblock it. They have promised us they will get back to us before the 15th March (The official changeover day) as they say it's more difficult than they thought and couldn't do it while we waited on the phone.

We will have to compare banks when everything settles down.

So informed that the ex LLoyds/Halifax branch in Guardamar is closing,
that's a shame people there have been very helpful especially Thomas

Hi I am new to this site but read with interest about the Sabadell problem...I have been trying unsuccessfully for weeks to activate this card without success...you see I have a six figure user pin which I have had for years and obviously, it won't fit!!! I am going down to Torrevieja to my branch to try and get help as I can't be doing with sitting on a phone. If I get any decent information, I will post it on the site.

Hi spirtsmum,
:text-welcomewave: to TalkQuesada.

Apparently you have to only use the first four figures of your user pin once you are into your online Lloyds account - I know that much because Sabadell told me and also it's shown somewhere on the information as you try to log in to activate the BS online card.

Sabadell have now told us, after investigating the problem, that there are a few customers (including us), who are coming over from Lloyds, who have certain parts of their log-in details that are the same as Sabadell customers. Although we can see that on it's own this is not a security risk (and what they have told us has confirmed this!), it is confusing the changeover computer system for a few people.

We now have to wait until just after the changeover for them to sort this out but they are getting back to us. In the meantime we can still access our Lloyds account online.

At least I know now that it isn't anything I am doing wrong - I didn't think so as I am pretty techno-savvy.!
