Have used “transferwise” to transfer money to a Spanish account from the U.K. - does it work the same in reverse with no additional bank fees when transferring euros to U.K. sterling account?

I only ask as when we had a place in Turkey - the banks imposed a “charge” for moving money out of the country - even if you did it yourself online.

I use Transferwise all the time moving money in other currencies and the is no extra charges for other currencies
I have now set up a Borderless account with them and just transfer money from UK or Spain when needed you get a Debit card with the account and can withdraw through ATM or use it anywhere

Does the Borderless account act exactly the same as a Spanish bank account for paying bills etc?
