Does anyone know if I transfer euros back to uk via transferwise euro account (in Germany) from Caixabank-will the Bank levy a charge if I do it myself online?

Note: just completed it and the charge was €92 levied by Caixabank in addition to transfer wise charges of €115 - so not quite as cheap as it first looks! This was because the payment went outside of Caixabank and a 0.04% charge was made.
Maybe I should have known - the banks always take a slice !!!

Transferred some funds yesterday for the first time with transfer wise. They charged me £16 as a transfer fee and gave me 1:15775€ to the £. Contacted Moneycorp who I usually always transfer with and they couldn’t match it, whatever way they calculated it, Transfer wise was cheaper by a good few pounds. Money was in my account within 2 hours. Very pleased with the service for TransferWise.

Completely agree with the positive comments re Travelwise, used them for the first time last Friday, the money was in my Spanish account 2hrs later, fab service, great exch rates and very low fee for the transfer, My No1 from now on, bye bye UK high street banks and your miserly exchange rates / transfer charges.

If you transfer £1,000, with Transferwise, you'll get 1,151.62 euros, after their fees have been knocked off, so a rate of 1.1516 euros to the pound is what you're effectively getting. I'm not aware of anywhere where you can get a better rate than that, unless you're transferring a very large amount.

And the best bit about it is that you get an immediate online quote, no account required, and the live exchange rate, fee of £4.29 for £1,000 transferred and the actual amount you receive is all shown on the same page - they even tell you if you can get a better rate elsewhere, via their constantly updating live link. Now that's a currency exchange without anything to hide! And they're a "Which?" Best Buy. I haven't used anyone else for 3 years now.
