Well, it's been pointed out before but at Gatwick today, Moneycorp were giving 95 cents for every £1 you changed at the airport and were asking €1.38 for every pound you bought.
Just a little heads up to point out you should never, ever, leave it until the last minute and use the airport currency exchange.

We use International Currency Exchange (ICE). There are quite a few branches in the south and at Gatwick South. You will need to go on line and enter your e-mail address and a click and collect voucher will be e-mailed to you. With the voucher you will get a much better rate.

In all my time at airports I’ve never seen anybody changing money there. The rates are so poor - I often wonder how they stay in business - they have staff who sit around pretending to be doing something looking at a computer. It can’t be cheap to hire space at an airport so how do they stay in business ?

I use to change money quite often at Moneycorp in airports, when I use to go on long haul trips. They use to nearly always offer better rate than the high street, but you Always need to pre book online to get this rate, Other wise they are a huge rip off.

Ditto, I used Moneycorp at LGW several times, but always booked online first.

Current rate if you book on line with Moneycorp to collect at Gatwick is £1 = €1.01. Europound in Quesada is giving £1 = €1.11.

It's not what I'm seeing. Are you looking at the right site?
