called in to Caixa bank today to draw some money out only to discover they have now introduced a €2 transaction fee. Anyone know of an ATM where it is still free to withdraw cash ?

Not for me but I do have a Caixa Premier A/C.

Nationwide charge fees for ALL foreign cash withdrawals with ATM fees on top, an expensive way of spending money!

If you are withdrawing money from your UK bank from ATM then you will pay a fee even if you are a La Caixa account holder. There is no charge if you are withdrawing from your Spanish account via La Caixa ATM.

All banks charge fees for ATM withdrawals with UK card. BBVA is €1,87. Still works out the cheapest way to get euros if you use Nationwide (and maybe others) because the exchange rate is so good. The more you withdraw the better obviously - up to €500 maximum in my case.
