Have been with them for 20 years and can't recall any problems, they don't have a vast branch network, so it could be a problem depending on where you live, my charges are about €5.80 per month which covers everything I use them for.

They also own 100% of Linea Directa.

We are also with Bankinter and have been for the past 6 years with a pension account you do not get bank charges as long as you bank 750 euros per month. No problems so far. I also have a business account with them which cost's about 90 euros per year.
Very friendly bank staff in Donna Pepa branch and speak good English.

Yes that's the account we're looking at. At the moment we're with Sabadell and pay a lot in bank charges. Think it's time for a change.

Been with them for years with no problems and no charges. We have our pensions paid in from the uk, house insurance and a credit card with them. Excellent service online but we avoid Quesada branch as they are a bit surly. Other branches are great.

I transfered to Bankinter when banco popular went under. No real problems with them. My only gripe is that they do not give you enough information. I have my English pension paid in directly. So no charges. However this account only allows a credit card, not a normal bank card. This is what they didnt tell me.
You can get cash from your current account with it, but all spending is on the credit card.
As it happens I am very happy with this arrangement, but it does incur charges for the credit card . The more you use, the more the charge of course. Costs me about 18euros a month. Not exactly free banking !
I find the staff helpful, but the queues can be very long....same as most banks.
