hi all, apologies if this has been talked about before. we have noticed that there has been 2 suma charges taken out of our caixa bank account on the same date (07/06/2021), one for 78.36euro and one for 89.93euro. we have looked at our forth coming bills and the same 2 payments are due again next month (10/08/2021).
does anyone have an idea what this is for?

They took out the car tax (IPTV) and rubbish collection tax in the first week of June so that would account for those.
No idea why they would have them for August, though, as they are only taken once a year in the Rojales municipality.

Thanks marcliff, thought it might be something like that. I'll have to wait and keep an eye to make sure they dont take it out again.

Why not ring them up to make sure they do not take them out again

Jpeg, do you mean ring the bank?? funny we’ve just looked today and had two charges taken out, this month and last, we’d already paid the car , so knew it wasn’t that and thought rubbish, but surely not 67€ pm?

SUMA tax for waste disposal is a once a year payment as is the car tax (IVTM).

7th Jan and we had the IVTM at €42.60 and the waste disposal tax at €78.36 both have SUMA in the reference.

The other tax bill we had in June was income tax at €137 but says Tax Collection AEAT in the reference.

Yes I did try that and emailed my bank adviser but they said for security reasons I need to make an appointment if I need to discuss my account. Trouble is I'm in UK and not been there since covid happened.

I had exactly the same two sums deducted on exactly the same date. I had earmarked them as rubbish collection and car tax but am now questioning it given it would be a coincidence if the car tax were to be identical (to the cent!!) and also marcliff's comment. I don't seem to have any facility on the app to see forthcoming bills so will keep an eye on August but if you get to the bottom of this I would be grateful for an update. Like you, I am in the UK at present and attempting to do many banking related tasks seems impossible without going in branch.
