Hi just wondered if any forum members have expierenced this,I had a appointment at torry hospital at in August .i had waited 5 months for it,had scan but then heard nothing for 3 weeks it wasnt until i asked my translater to make me a appt to see my doctor which she did and i went today, my query is do the hospital or even the doctors not get in touch with you when results have been received if i had not asked my translater to make a appt would i not be informed at all. just seems strange.
ps. just to add to that i also had to get my translater to ring the hospital to find out when my scan appt was,nothing from hospital at all.

Usually appointments come through on your portal(which you must sign up to), you can ask your GP for results of tests etc here and you can also make appointments with your GP this way. The hospital won't contct you except if you have an app they will ring to remind you. We have had a lot of dealings with the hospital and find you don't really need a translator to go with you, they are very good at speaking english

I signed up with the doctor at the surgery in Doña Papa. N managed to register online, I can see how to make an appointment but He told me I could email him queries or for repeat scripts, but can t see how to just contact him, does anyone know how!

It's best to ask the Hospital how long the results take as after having Back XRays they were on the Doctors Computer in 2 days. Try that in the UK.

There is information at medical center on how to sign in to your medical portal and they give you a password to start off.
It's not absolutely necessary to go on the net, just make appointment with your doctor and he will read Your info from his screen. He will give you print out if you want it.....blood test results etc....
